The customer needed support from an lead PLC engineer to update the controls for 12 Hydrolic Tugger winches.
The old system was by relay technology and didn’t have an interlock between the different control locations to control a single Tugger.
One of the requirements was that there was an interlock between the different control location with an “Hand shake” control and only when the control parameters of the different location were met each other.
One of the challenges in the project was the short down time to replace the controls and commission the system. This resulted that the software had to be setup modular but also that all the software commissioning could be done from the HMI screen not depending of the type of Tugger winch.
Before installation the requirements needed to been proven by and complete FAT test were an simulated Tugger was setup.
