Recipes and RFID

A known machine manufacturer in the food industry needed to add the capability for their customers to be able to make their own Machine Recipes.

The challenge in this project was that the software had to be transferable to other projects, so that it could be used in a Siemens 1200 and 1500 CPU with TP as well as Confort HMI panels and that the data would be retained if an error was made.

Cabinet (TATA Steel)

Customer forgot to engineer and order a new cabinet in time for an update on the Zink Oven in a planned still stand period. To avoid the project coming to a hold we helped the customer to engineer and build the electrical cabinet within five days.

Emergency Power (Netherlands Based Bank)

The customer needed support to realise a new control system for the existing emergency power generators, the old PLC system was outdated and not reliable any more.

The existing control system was based on a single controller that controlled four generators of 1MW each and 13 power distributers (ATS’en). The demands were that on single failure couldn’t lead to the failure of the emergency power system.

Standardisation

The customer had difficulties completing projects within the calculated time and most of all “first time right”, all the project were copies from other projects or were build up from scarges which resulted in making the same mistakes over again.

Also the challenge was to get new engineers up to speed within a short period of time.

Tugger Winches

The customer needed support from an lead PLC engineer to update the controls for 12 Hydrolic Tugger winches.

The old system was by relay technology and didn’t have an interlock between the different control locations to control a single Tugger.
